Jean Peteet has sponsored Elizabeth in the
Woman to Woman program. She recently visited Paraguay and had this to say about
her trip:
Dear Sheri:
A very belated thank you to you, Nadia and her husband for helping us see what
PPP is doing at t he Dignity House and
at the agricultural project. The time we
spent looking at the work being done and talking with Damon, Nadia and Elizabeth
was a highlight of our time in Paraguay. It was encouraging to see that
Elizabeth was able to get dental work done and to hear about how many people you
have helped to get bridges and dentures.
It helped me and especially our daughter, Rachel, get a better idea of the
challenge of the work that needs to be done but also the energy and hope that
folks have to work toward goals.
We are already thinking about next summer and if there are any opportunities to
help PPP, I would be very interested in hearing about them. AI would be
interested in knowing about any service opportunities you might have for teens
(Rachel will be 17 and a senior in high school), adults and college grads. One
of our two sons is 25 years old and is interested in going down to Paraguay
next summer. I hope we can keep in touch.
