Bob, Laura and Evan Weller have sponsored PPP children for several
years. Currently they sponsor Tobias Miglietta Ferreira who they met on their
recent trip to Paraguay in August. They write about their experience:
“We just returned from a wonderful journey back to Paraguay. It had been 11
years since we left Asuncion
 with our
beautiful son. Then, we were so anxious to
get home . However this time to was hard to leave and say goodbye to the
wonderful people that had made our journey so special. The PPP staff, the
children and families PPP serves and especially the child we sponsor were so
warm and wonderful that we feel like they are part of our family now. We are
already planning our next trip back to Paraguay.”
“The visit with Tobias really touched us. Tobias’s beautiful smile and sparkling
eyes were the first thing we saw as he walked into the PPP office with his
grandmother who is raising him and 4 other siblings. Tobias’s family history is
sad in that he and his siblings are separated from their mother while she works
in Argentina. The children and their grandmother live in Chacarita near the
Paraguay River and even though they live in poverty they invited us to their
house to see the beautiful view of the river. It was heartbreaking for us to see
the conditions and circumstances in which Tobais lives and yet when we arrived
he threw his arms around us and was so proud to show us his house. We want to do
more to help this family and all the other PPPP families. PPP is an amazing
organization with a devoted staff. They deserve all of the support that we can
give them.”
